      Jordan H. Perlow, M.D., has been a partner with Phoenix Perinatal Associates; Phoenix, Arizona, and Associate Director of Maternal-Fetal Medicine at Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center since 1992. He is a graduate of the Northwestern University Medical School and completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Rush-Presbyterian St. Lukes Medical Center/ Rush Medical College; both in Chicago. Dr. Perlow then completed additional fellowship training in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at the University of California-Irvine and is Board Certified and Recertified in both Obstetrics and Gynecology and the subspecialty of Maternal-Fetal Medicine.

      Dr. Perlow is an active volunteer with the March of Dimes, and serves on the Board of Directors, is the Director of the Folic Acid Education Program for the State of Arizona, and is the Prematurity Awareness Campaign Chairman for this organization. He was recently named to serve on the National Office of Volunteers and was awarded the 2002 Distinguished Volunteer Service Award for the March of Dimes, the highest honor bestowed on a March of Dimes Volunteer. He has participated in numerous television, radio and print media appearances on behalf of the March of Dimes mission; To improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality. He is also very active in educational programs regarding umbilical cord blood banking, and is a member of the Scientific Advisory Boards for the Cord Blood Registry in Tucson, Arizona as well as cord blood banks in India, Malaysia, Singapore and Brazil. He recently served as President of the Phoenix Obstetrical and Gynecological Society for 2005-2006.

      Dr. Perlow is a Member of the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine and serves as a judge of scientific papers for this organization. He is also a reviewer of research submitted for publication in the American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the journal; Obstetrics and Gynecology. He has academic appointments as Clinical Assistant Professor; University of Arizona School of Medicine, and is Adjunct Assistant Professor; Midwestern University/ Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine, and is a Visiting Professor at the University of Sao Paulo in Brazil. Dr. Perlow was recently named Director of Maternal-Fetal Medicine, Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center, where he has provided Maternal-Fetal Medicine care for the past 20 years.

      Dr. Perlow has received recognition for his work as a Maternal-Fetal Medicine physician. He has been named and listed in the "Best Doctors in America", "Top Docs" of Phoenix, Arizona, and listed in "Who's Who in Healthcare and Medicine". A scholarship has been funded in his honor at the University of California-Irvine School of Medicine charged with "fostering the career of a future doctor who exemplifies the combination of skill and compassion displayed by Doctor Perlow". He is frequently the subject of television interviews locally and nationally, and has been quoted in news articles relating to women's health topics, and has been featured on Discovery Health, The Learning Channel, and was the subject of a live web cast involving the delivery of triplets watched "live" by more than 2 million people.

      Dr. Perlow has numerous research interests and has published peer reviewed articles, review articles, medical textbook chapters, and has spoken nationally and internationally on many of these topics, including Cesarean Section, The Health Benefits of Folic Acid, Umbilical Cord Blood Stem Cell Preservation, Heparin Use in Pregnancy, Preterm Labor, Multiple Gestation and Medical Complications in Pregnancy.

      Recent honors have included serving as an invited speaker at the International Cord Blood Society Congress, the World Symposium of Perinatal Medicine, and addressing the Sao Paulo Obstetrical Society Congress in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Dr. Perlow has been an invited speaker at more than 100 various hospitals, medical schools and medical conferences, and recently addressed the International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in November, 2006.

      Most recently Dr. Perlow has participated as a volunteer on Medical Missions in the Philippines in 2008 and Brazil and Bolivia in 2010. He was also recently recognized with the "Preceptor of the Year Award" for 2010 by the Physicians Assistant Program at Midwestern University, Glendale, AZ.
